Overview
Driftech, built for Rif-Tech, is an auto-finance app for the Egyptian market with a simple promise: drive today, pay your way. Customers choose any car, new or pre-owned, from a dealer or a private seller, estimate the monthly installment and apply for financing from their phone.
The app brings a car marketplace, a finance calculator, four financing programs, a guided car-matching quiz and application tracking together in one Arabic and English client with a full RTL layout. It was delivered to the client and is not on a public store listing.
The challenge

Car finance is intimidating: users need a clear monthly number before committing to a long application.

Financing spans several programs (instant purchase, trade-in, multi-car fleet, savings plans), each targeting a different customer and needing its own entry point.

Many users don't yet know which car fits their budget, so the app had to guide them rather than just list inventory.

The application collects personal, employment, financial and car data, which had to be split into short, reviewable steps.

- A Know your car quiz styled as a chat, with an AI-assistant intro and countdown.
- Questions read aloud with text-to-speech in Arabic or English.
- Previous answers stay editable, and results lead to suggested cars.
Account and app
- Phone and OTP registration, password reset, phone change and account deletion with a 90-day reactivation window.
- Notifications center with FCM push, help center, support tickets and FAQs.
- Dark and light themes, adjustable font size, Arabic and English switch, and a Driftech Vlogs video section.
Signature feature
A monthly number before anything else
- The user enters the car price and down payment and picks a period of 12 to 84 months from a bottom sheet.
- Every keystroke recalculates the installment locally: loan equals price minus down payment, with flat annual interest over the term, divided by the months.
- A custom
CustomPaintergauge with a sweep-gradient arc, ticks and a needle moves with the term from 1 to 7 years, making the term-versus-payment trade-off visible at a glance. - Apply Now leads straight into the finance flow, and exact offers come from the server's installment plans on the dedicated calculator screen.

Live calculator, no round-trip
The home calculator runs its math locally inside
onChanged, so the number responds while the user is still deciding. Binding plans come from the server only on the dedicated calculator screen. - 02
Gauge as a painter, not a package
The finance gauge is a custom
CustomPainternormalised to the loan term. It is lightweight, follows the theme and needs no chart dependency. - 03
TTS that never blocks the UI
Quiz prompts are spoken through
flutter_ttswith a speak-with-timeout fallback, so the chat continues on a visual timer if the engine stalls. Question marks are normalised per language for display and speech. - 04
Guest-first startup
Public content such as brands, cars, banners and videos loads at launch, while user data is fetched only once a session exists. First paint stays fast for visitors.

Theme-aware brand assets
Program badges and home surfaces switch between light and dark artwork through the Cubit's theme flag, keeping the brand consistent in both modes.

RTL everywhere
Layouts use directional paddings and positioning, so Arabic mirrors correctly down to the sliders and bottom navigation.
